Snorkelling & Island Hopping
The chain of bounty islands that lie scattered off Mersing belong to the Seri Buat Archipelago. Most are blessed with white sandy beaches and the kind of turquoise blue seas that you'd expect in places like Maldives or Seychelles.
Tantalizingly, apart of course from perennial tourist favorite Pulau Tioman, the majority of Mersing's breathtaking islands are for the most part uninhabited and just waiting to be discovered.
As it happens, given the relatively close proximity to the busy port nation of Singapore, Mersing boasting these glistening islands is perhaps a bit of an anomaly.
In fact, paradoxically, some of Seri Buat's gems, such as Pulau Rahsia and Pulau Raja, have managed to remain so altogether under the radar that they may even be considered more exotic than their renowned Indian Ocean cousins.
