an absolute snorkeling paradise
If you're looking for a laid-back castaway beach, then Impian Inn is the place to be. Impian Inn's ever so scenic environment is remote, tranquil, offers breathtaking terrain and lots of Tioman Island wildlife for good measure. Yet, Impian Inn is located within 5 minutes to both the beach and the ferry jetty back to Mersing.

Now, whilst Impian Inn can be considered a budget place, it stands out in a number of respects. Firstly, the food. All meals are available in-house and breakfast in particular was nice. (You can also arrange for a BBQ or eat in any of the eateries nearby, which we found tasty and good value for money too).

The other thing we noticed was the very nice Impian Inn staff. We couldn't fault any one of them at all. They were the smiliest and most helpful peeps we've come across in our travels. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that the Impian Inn staff actually make it the enjoyable place that it is.
Also, amenities-wise, if you're keen to keep in touch with the world whilst you're ensconced in this little idyllic paradise, then rest assured, wi-fi at Impian Inn is consistent and plenty speedy.
Incidentally, those who came to Tioman to dial back the stress or get that perfect tan during their stay, this stretch of Genting beach has free sun lounges, courtesy of Impian Inn.
Meanwhile, scubadiving aficionados, note that there's a dive outfit nearby Impian Inn, who will assist you with your scuba outings.
But snorkelers too, like us, can have our kicks, because there's quite a few great spots for snorkeling along the beach here, all within a stone's throw of our room. Snorkeling equipment, dive mask, snorkel and flippers are available from Impian Inn, and, by the way, looked brand-new.
Other things to do are going on a boat trip around Tioman, fishing and exploring the surrounding tropical rain forest and other beautiful beaches around Tioman. Best of all, the fish we caught day were prepared in delicious Malay-style by the Impian Inn chef that night. How awesome is that?
In short, despite Impian Inn's budget status, you can see it offers quite a complete get-away stay. We had an absolutely fantastic time.
Our only regret was not being able to stay a little longer. But, we'll come back to this little gem in Genting Village, Tioman Island. In fact, we've already booked.
